    Registration in the Register Of Clinical Dental Technicians

    Clinical Dental Technicians qualified within Ireland;

    Currently the only Dental Council approved training programme in Ireland is the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology in Trinity College, Dublin.

    1. Complete application form
    2. Remittance of €50. To pay online click the "Pay Now" button and follow the instructions. The fee payable is listed under "Application fees". Be sure to select "Clinical Dental Technician Application Fee" to avoid unnecessary refunds and print a copy of your receipt to attach to your application. We will also accept a personal cheque as an alternative method of payment.
    3. Photocopy of your Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology
    4. Character Reference from the head tutor of your programme in Clinical Dental Technology
    5. Photocopy of your passport for identification purposes
    6. Current Curriculum Vitae or signed work history (This must be a detailed account of your work history from the time you graduated as a Clinical Dental Technician. Dates must be formatted as DD/MM/YYYY and you must state the title or grade of your post. Your work history must include the full name and address of each employer)
    7. Complete Dental Council statement (This statement should be a comprehensive list of any Regulatory Body or Competent Authority that you are, or were previously, required to register with in order to practise your profession in a particular jurisdiction. For example if you worked in the UK and had to register with the General Dental Council in order to legally practise in the UK, the GDC must be listed on your statement. If you are newly qualified or have never registered with any other body, you must still complete the statement by signing and dating it)
    8. Letters of Good Standing (You must submit original Letters of Good Standing from any regulatory body/ Competent Authority that you are currently, or have previously been, registered with)

    9. Transcripts of Course in Clinical Dental Technology (You must submit the originals and these should include subjects undertaken, grades received and any clinical training)

     Important information regarding the translating of documents;

    Any documentation submitted, if in a language other than in English, should be translated into the English language and duly notarised. Both the original requested document and its original translation should be forwarded.Notarised translations must be an exact translation of the source material. They must always include a clause from the translator, together with the translator's seal affixed and must be certified by the translator's signature. A copy of the document that has been translated must be bound to its notarised translation by the translator, making it clear that he/she has made the translation from the specific document in question.
