    New graduates qualified within the Republic of Ireland;

    If you require a letter of good standing to register abroad or if you want to register with Dental Council to practise your profession in Ireland,

    please submit the below information to the Dental Council;

     

    Dentists

     

    To register;

    1.       Complete application form

    2.       Character reference (the character reference form below can be completed or you can submit a character reference on University headed paper. You must submit the original)

    3.       Photocopy of your Degree in Dentistry (Latin Version)

    4.       Photocopy of your passport  

    5.       Registration fee - to pay online click the "Pay Now" button and follow the intructions. The fee payable is listed as "Dentist - new graduate - registration fee". If you are paying your fee by postal order, bank draft or cheque; current fees can be found on the "fees and online payments" page of this website.

     

    To obtain a letter of good standing (certificate of current professional status);

    1.       Complete letter of good standing request form

    2.       Character reference (the character reference form below can be completed or you can submit a character reference on University headed paper. You must submit the original)

    3.       Photocopy of your Degree in Dentistry (Latin Version)

    4.       Photocopy of your passport

    Auxiliary Dental Workers

     

    To register;

    1.       Complete the appropriate application form for your profession

    2.       Character reference (the character reference form below can be completed or you can submit a character reference on University headed paper. You must submit the original)

    3.       Complete Dental Council Statement (If you have not registered with any other competent authority/ regulatory body you must still submit a signed and dated statement confirming this)

    4.       Photocopy of your Certificate (this must be the one you conferred with)

    5.       Photocopy of your passport  

    6.       The relevant registration fee (current fees can be found on the "fees and online payments" page of this website)

     

    To obtain a letter of good standing (certificate of current professional status);

    Fees can be paid in the form of cheque, postal order or bank draft and must accompany an application for registration. Applications and requests can be posted to our office at the address above, as we need original signatures on forms. We do not accept submissions via email. Please note that we endeavour to have new graduate applications dealt with as quickly as possible, however, we are an extremely busy office and this process could take up to 3 weeks from the time, a complete, application is received. Letters of Good Standing can take up to two weeks to be issued from the time a request is received.
