    Fees:

    Registration Periods:
    Dentists and Dental Specialists - 1 February to 31 January annually.
    Auxiliary Dental Workers - 1 September to 31 August annually.

    Dentists:
    €220.00 Registration fee
    €290.00 Annual retention fee

    Dental Specialists:
    €220.00 Registration fee
    €290.00 Annual retention fee

    Dental Hygienists:
    €30.00 Registration fee
    €35.00 Annual retention fee

    Dental Nurses:
    €15.00 Registration fee
    €20.00 Annual retention fee

    Clinical Dental Technicians:
    €50.00 Registration fee
    €55.00 Annual retention fee

    Orthodontic Therapists:
    €25.00 Registration fee
    €30.00 Annual retention fee

    Reissue of Annual Certificate:
    €10 per certificate.

     

    Late Fees and erasure for non-payment:
    The failure to pay the Annual Retention Fee within two months of the renewal date will result in the application of a Late Fee of €200 (e.g. a dentist who fails to pay their Annual Retention Fee of €290 by 1 April will be obliged to pay €490 to retain their name on the register). The continued failure to pay the Annual Retention Fee will result in the Council deciding to erasure a registrant's name from the Register.

    Dentists wishing to restore their name to the Register after their name has been erased by the High Court will be obliged to pay the outstanding Annual Retention Fee, the Late Fee, a Restoration Fee of €220 and any costs awarded to the Council by the Courts.

    Auxiliary Dental Workers wishing to restore their name to the register after their registration has been suspended will be obliged to pay the outstanding Annual Retention Fee and Late Fee.

    Examination Fees:

    Dentists:
    €1500.00 (Dentists Exam for Non-EEA dentists)
    €750.00 (Repeat Fee)

    Dental Hygienists:
    €500.00 (Dental Hygiene Exam for non EEA dental hygienists)
    €300.00 (Repeat Fee)
