    Application Details for Registration in the Register of Dental Specialists:

    1. Specialist qualifications obtained within Ireland

    • Complete application form
    • Photocopy of your passport for identification purposes
    • Remittance of €220
    • Photocopy of your Specialist Qualification (this must be the official Certificate you conferred with)

                                                                                                                                                                  

    2. Specialist qualifications obtained in the UK

    • Complete application form
    • Photocopy of your passport for identification purposes
    • Remittance of €220
    • Photocopy of your Specialist Qualification (this must be the official Certificate you conferred with)
    • CCST - Certificate of completion of Specialist Training (you must submit the original Certificate) – Obtainable from the GDC

     

    3. Specialist qualifications obtained within the EEA

    • Complete application form
    • Photocopy of your passport for identification purposes
    • Remittance of €220
    • Photocopy of your Specialist Qualification (this must be the official Certificate you conferred with)
    • EEC Directive Letter – Obtainable from the Competent Authority in whose jurisdiction you obtained your specialist qualification – This must state that your Specialist training meets the standards of qualification Directive 2005/36/EC (you must submit the original Letter)

     

    4. Specialist qualifications that do not meet the above criteria are entitled to have their qualification assessed for the purposes of Specialist Registration.

      Applications for assessment go through a two-step review procedure when your application is received.

      During the first step your application will be reviewed to check if all the required information has been submitted. After this initial review, the registration department will be in contact with you if they require the re-submission of documents or if you have forgotten to submit required information.

      Once the registration department are happy that your application is complete, your application will then go forward to the second review stage, which is the assessment of your complete application.
